INOU launches 11th edition of Working for Work

3 Jun 2004

The Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed was very pleased to have Ms Sile De Valera, Minister of State at the Department of Education and Science to launch its 11th edition of the Working for Work publication today.

'My department has a long and successful relationship with Working for Work, and as a key funder of the publication, I am delighted to see the extent and depth of useful and practical information it provides to unemployed people in a plain and easy to read format’, said Ms De Valera.

The publication provides valuable information and advice on the options and opportunities available to those seeking to (re)enter the labour market or to pursue further education and training as well as outlining individual’s rights and entitlements with regard to social welfare payments.

‘Working for Work’ is used by statutory and community sector workers, who provide front line services to unemployed people. It is also used widely by individuals who are unemployed and / or experiencing social exclusion.

Copies are available by contacting the INOU on 8560088.
