Delegates from unemployed organisations from all over the country, North and South, will meet tomorrow Thursday, 22nd June for the 18th Annual Delegate Conference of the Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed (INOU) in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Delegates will have an opportunity to review the document from the recently concluded National Partnership negotiations.

“As a social partner who took an active part in the recently concluded Partnership negotiations, this is an important opportunity for us to review the key aspects of the Agreement with our members” said Mr. Eric Conroy, INOU General Secretary. “This is also the first time we have held our Annual Delegate Conference outside Dublin since the INOU was founded in 1987 and we are looking forward to a great Conference in the Midlands” Mr. Conroy added.

The INOU Annual Conference is a key decision and policy-making forum for the organisation. The Conference provides opportunities for delegates from our affiliated organisations and branches to participate in INOU policy-making through debating, discussing and voting on the submitted motions. The Conference also elects members to our National Executive Committee.
