Slight annual increase in the Live Register

The Live Register figures for March 2007 came out today. The monthly change shows a slight decrease in the seasonally adjusted figure to 157,500: while the figure is up by 300 over the same month last year. Looking at the figures from a gender perspective the number of men on the live register went up by 600 while the number of women went down by 900.
