The company was originally founded in 1819 as Johnston & Co. Since that time it has existed through some of the most exciting events in Irish history and has grown to become the main supplier in Ireland of books, newspapers and magazines.
One of the shops, in Listowel, Co Kerry, opened earlier this year and a second was officially opened on the 27th August in Limerick by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan. The book and stationery company also plans to open new franchise stores in Letterkenny, Co Donegal and Fermoy, Co Cork. Read on
