166 apprentices have completed the EIR apprenticeship programme in the past three years and some are now working in full time positions in the company. This latest announcement is a great opportunity for 50 new apprentices to be part of the team bringing fibre broadband to homes and businesses throughout the country.

Managing Director open Eir Networks, Una Stafford said: “As a uniquely Irish telecommunications company we have huge ambition for and commitment to Ireland and to our people.”

“We’re aiming to find recruits from right across the country, Donegal through to Cork.

Successful applicants will work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, learning from a world-class team of experts.

It is an opportunity to be part of one of the most important technology implementation programmes in our country.”

Eir’s apprentice programme is open to candidates who have completed the Leaving Certificate or equivalent exams and have a full driving licence.

A spokesperson added: “Commencing in November successful applicants will begin two years of training with extensive preparatory and on-the-job learning supported by an experienced technician throughout.”

Following the successful completion of the two year programme, top performers will be offered full-time roles with Eir.
