Pharma company Almac Group has announced the creation of 100 new jobs. It is expected that the jobs will come on stream over the next two years.
The company has secured new premises in Dundalk, Co. Louth to support its ongoing global expansion plans. The announcement is viewed in some quarters as the first major benefit of Brexit, that a Northern Ireland-based contract pharmaceutical development and manufacturing company is to create new jobs in town across the border. The company has some 3,000 employees at its Criagavon headquarters.
Almac Group is making its multi-million euro investment in a new Dundalk premises at the IDA Business Park as it seeks to maintain access to the European Union market in the wake of Brexit.
