INOU E-Bulletin Issue 32 May 2018

Welcome to the 32nd edition of the INOU’s E-bulletin

In this edition, given GDRP, we ask our readers to inform us if they wish to remain on our E-bulletin list. We highlight the Out and About work undertaken by the INOU’s Welfare Rights Information Section. An individual member shares their experience of trying to secure decent employment, which resonates with the issues raised by TASC in their recent report. We also discuss the Action Plan for Jobs 2018; the INOU’s engagement with the Low Pay Commission; and the recent Social Inclusion Forum. We look at the most recent unemployment statistics and highlight the announcement by Minister Regina Doherty that people on JobPath could also participate on CE or Tús. Finally, we inform our readers of the potential of working in a Polling Station or Count Centre.
