As part of our wide range of training services and commitment to quality we have developed our services to include modules accredited by QQI. A further education and training (FET) award enables active participation in social, cultural and economic life and promotes continuous access to on-going learning.

Achieving a QQI qualification provided by the INOU will create further awareness around welfare rights issues and the impact of unemployment on a person's ability to participate fully and equally in society.  It will allow participants to work with clients more confidently having increased their knowledge and competence.

We also provide group work, presentation and evaluation skills through our Training and Evaluation programme, formerly Train the Trainer, which is also accredited by QQI.

What is QQI?

QQI is Quality and Qualifications Ireland, the national awarding body for further education and training and higher education in Ireland. Set up as a statutory body in November 20112 by the Minister for Education and Skills under the Quality Assurance and Qualifications (Education & Training) Act, 2012.  FETAC, HETAC, IUQB and NQAI are no longer in operation.  The functions of these bodies is now carried out by QQI.

QQI awards give people the opportunity to gain recognition for learning in education or training centres, in the work place and in the community. It has responsibility for making awards previously made by FETAC and HETAC. Programmes leading to QQI awards are offered nationwide by a wide range of providers in diverse settings. Further Education and Training Programmes are accredited by QQI at six levels.
