Welcome to Issue 59 of the INOU e-Bulletin!

In this Issue we have an article on an Erasmus visit to Stuttgart, another on an EU-OECD-DSP recent evaluation of Community Employment and Tús. There are two accounts from people who have participated on Community Employment and how valuable they found this programme. We have reports from two affiliates on their work, Sligo Leader Partnership and Community Law and Mediation’s Centre for Environmental Justice. There is a follow-up article on the INOU’s submission on means-testing covered in the last issue, drawing on the organisation’s regional Discussion Forums. Another piece explores the ESF+ Community of Practice on Employment, Education and Skills study “ Towards zero long-term unemployment in the EU: Job guarantees and other innovative approaches” . There is an article on Good data and the role of the Census ; and another draws on the recent ESRI report “ Gender and labour market inclusion on the island of Ireland”. There is a poem from an individual member of the INOU on full employment and unemployment. And finally an article on the urgent need to add socio-economic status to Ireland’s equality legislation.
