Welcome to the 40 th issue of the INOU’s E-bulletin
In this edition we discuss recent events such as the AONTAS Lifelong Learning Summit, the Future Jobs Ireland Summit, and the National Social Enterprise Conference. An informative article on the newly available Jobseekers Benefit for the Self-Employed is also featured. There is an article on recent developments on the subject of Remote Working. A regular piece in our E-bulletins is the INOU ‘Out and About’ which describes some of the work staff and programme participants have been up to outside of the office. Also featured is an article about My Streets Ireland, a social enterprise that employs people experiencing homelessness as tour guides around Dublin and Drogheda. There is an article on the New Communities Partnership’s Migrant Access Programme, which supports migrants in their search for employment opportunities in Ireland. A short examination of the recently published CSO Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) is featured. There is also an article about the INOU’s response to a Department of Education and Skills questionnaire on the development of the Action Plan for Education 2020 . Another article discusses the Educational Attainment Thematic Report 2019 from the CSO.
