Tech Apprenticeships with FIT – 2026 Opportunities Now Open

FIT (Fastrack into Information Technology) is now recruiting for its 2026 Tech Apprenticeship programmes, providing a practical, work-based route into some of Ireland’s most in-demand tech careers. Tech Apprentices earn while they learn, gain industry experience, and complete recognised qualifications over two years.

Upcoming 2026 Intakes

  • Software Development – February (Leinster)

Open to candidates across Leinster, with just 15 in-person training days in Kildare required over two years (no consecutive days). This programme is ideal for those interested in coding, software engineering, and application development, with no previous experience required.

  • Cybersecurity – March (West)

Open to candidates across the West of Ireland, with just 15 in-person days in Sligo required over the two years (no consecutive days). This programme is perfect to gain hands-on skills in in-demand areas.

  • Computer Networking – April (West)

Open to candidates across the West of Ireland, with just 15 in-person days in Sligo required over the two years (no consecutive days). Ideal for those interested in more hands-on work, with IT support, systems configuration, and network management.

  • Cybersecurity – May (Cork)

This Cybersecurity Apprenticeship will take place in Bishopstown Training Centre in County Cork, open to candidates in Bishopstown and surrounding areas. This programme provides a strong pathway into Ireland’s rapidly growing cybersecurity sector with candidates earning industry-recognised qualifications upon completion.

FIT is partnering with Google to offer three free AI courses in February 2026, designed to help participants build confidence, boost your CV and stand out when applying for a Tech Apprenticeship.
