Congratulations to the Classes of 2025
The INOU team would like to warmly congratulate all the students who recently completed the “Building Futures” and “Shaping Futures” programmes, delivered through our Local Training Initiative in our Learning Hub on Townsend Street. Both groups celebrated their achievements with a graduation ceremony in the beautiful Mansion House, where they were presented with their awards by Cllr. Clodagh Ní Mhuirí, surrounded by the support of family and friends.
The ceremony also featured a moving speech from one Building Futures graduate, who shared her inspiring journey of recovery from addiction. With the encouragement of her classmates and INOU staff, she has rebuilt her confidence and begun to believe in herself again. She spoke of the value she found in attending as many classes as possible, and she is now preparing to apply for a college place. We wish her every success as she continues her learning journey.
A graduate of the Shaping Futures programme shared his story of the challenges he faced in seeking employment after arriving in Ireland from Venezuela. He expressed his deep gratitude to the programme staff for providing him with the opportunity to develop and showcase his skills. On the very day of his graduation, he began a full-time role in the hospitality industry, an incredible achievement and the beginning of a bright future for his career in Ireland.
Participants in these valuable programmes often need only the support, guidance, and sense of community provided by staff and peers to rebuild their confidence after a period of unemployment. The transformative power of adult education offers a fresh start, opening doors for those who may have been left behind by other systems and giving them the opportunity to realise their true potential.
The conclusion of these programmes marks only the beginning for our fantastic graduates, and we wish them every success in the future. Recruitment is now underway for the 2025/2026 programmes, which will commence in September.
