Minister Humphreys announces launch of new EmployAbility website

On May 24th, Minister Humphreys met with the staff of EmployAbility Cavan Monaghan for the launch of their new website. The site aims to reach out directly to those seeking employment and equally, to employers looking to hire.

The sun came out to greet the Minister and the staff of EmployAbility Cavan Monaghan on the exciting launch of the new website. It boasts lots of information for both the client and employers on what EmployAbility Cavan Monaghan does and how to avail of the service; along with a current jobs board, contact information, and a rather useful request a meeting function.

Commenting after the meeting Minister Humphreys said “I was delighted to visit the Employability offices in Monaghan today to hear of the important work being undertaken on behalf of the Department and the difference the support and services can make in assisting people in a return to employment.”

EmployAbility Cavan Monaghan is an employment support service promoting workplace inclusion. It offers employment support for people with an illness, disability, or mental health difficulty. They advocate with other agencies and potential employers on their clients’ behalf; offer advice on welfare payments and medical card queries when taking up employment, and provide ongoing support to maintain employment.

Through their comprehensive CV and interview preparation, they identify skills, abilities, training needs, and any additional supports that may be required to get those availing of the service job ready and into sustainable paid employment. Their fully trained employment specialists carry out extensive job matching to get people into the right job for them and the right people for the job.

EmployAbility Cavan Monaghan is funded by the Department of Social Protection and is one of 23 EmployAbility companies nationally.
