EmployAbility Radio goes On Air with Near90FM

The EmployAbility service has teamed up with Near90FM radio in north Dublin to present a new radio series beginning on September 6, 2021 and running for four weeks. 

The series, named ‘EmployAbility Radio’ will be broadcast at 2pm on Monday afternoons for the whole month of September. 

In each programme the presenter, Maurice Newman, will be talking to people who work within and from organisations that work alongside the  Employability service. 

In the first episode on September 6, Maurice talks to the co-ordinators of two of EmployAbility’s regional office co-ordinators, Yvonne Browne from the Dublin North Office and  Sheila Comiskey, Co-ordinator of EmployAbility County Meath. They explain what the EmployAbility service does, for whom, and why.

On September 13, Donncha Ó Cathasaigh from Dublin City Council talks about the increasing efforts to achieve diversity and equality in Irish workplaces and how this work is being carried out within DCC.

On September 20 Georgina Buffini of Dress For Success Dublin and Yvonne Browne, Co-Ordinator of EmployAbility Dublin North come into the studio to talk about the value of self-image and self-confidence for the individual seeking to find their place in the modern working environment.

On September 27, John Farrell and Robbert Lynch from the Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed (INOU) come into the studio to talk about their organisations nationwide work and campaigns on behalf of its members.
