The JobsWatch page is a resource run by the INOU’s Development Team through the INOU website. Whenever jobs are announced in the media, on social media, or through other means, these jobs are listed on the JobsWatch page. This process is on an ongoing basis and the listings are updated as the jobs are announced.
On the page the jobs are listed in order of most recent, with the name of the employer, the number of jobs (if known), and the date they were announced. Each listing can be expanded to reveal more information about the employer and a link to the job announcement, along with details about the positions to be filled, the location, the employer’s website, and when the jobs are to become available.
For those looking for jobs, the listings can be filtered by Date, County, and Industry. Most of the recent job listings are scheduled for the future. This means that anyone looking for job vacancies should filter the listings for earlier in the year or in the preceding years. Once the job vacancies are live the listing will be updated to include a link to either the company or the job application details.
In 2021 the JobsWatch page kept track of over thirty-one-thousand jobs collected on the site, though this was not the totality of all jobs announced last year. The industries which saw the most job announcements were Construction, IT, and Banking/Finance. While the counties with the highest number of jobs listed were Dublin, Kildare, Galway and Cork.
In addition to keeping track of newly publicised jobs, the Development Team will engage with the employers involved to encourage them to hire people currently on the Live Register. They will inform employers of the JobsPlus scheme and other employment supports and services that may be open to them.
