US company Acacia Communications has announced the creation of 60 new jobs in Limerick with the establishment of a new headquarters for the company's EMEA and APAC operations here.
Acacia Communications is a US-based firm that provides high-speed coherent optical interconnect products relied upon by cloud infrastructure operators and content and communication service providers.
The Limerick facility will support operations for Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific (EMEA-APAC).
The new roles are in the areas of:
- sales,
- supply chain and
- finance.
Speaking at the opening, Colm Cryan, MD of Acacia’s Irish subsidiary said “Ireland’s highly-skilled workforce, expansive infrastructure and pro-business environment, specifically in the Limerick area, makes it an ideal location for Acacia’s EMEA-APAC headquarters. “We are delighted to be here and appreciate the welcome that we have received from the local agencies and companies.”
