Aer Lingus have now launched their 2017 Maintenance and Engineering Apprentice Training scheme. The programme commences this September.

The company are seeking candidates who are committed and motivated. They are especially interested in diversifying their workforce and are inviting female applicants in particular, in an effort to increase the number of female apprentices in 2017.

The four-year apprenticeship programme is a structured programme, based between DIT and Shannon, offering a mix of on-the-job and off-the-job training which takes place in seven phases which includes training at the Aer Lingus Maintenance and Engineering Hangar at Dublin Airport. The end goal is to become a fully qualified Aircraft Engineer with Aer Lingus.

Successful candidates will have a technical and mechanical aptitude who also display maturity, commitment, flexibility, and a willingness to accept responsibility. Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills are also essential qualities we will be looking for in our apprenticeship class starting in September 2017.
