The Courts Service has excellent opportunities to work with the judiciary as a judicial assistant in the High Court or a Judicial Clerk in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

The role involves providing support to judges which can range from administrative, general duties, research and attending Court. This role provides an invaluable insight into the practical workings of the Courts.

For the High Court (3 year contract), applicants must have a minimum of 2.1 degree in law (or in their final year exams and expect to hold one).

For the Supreme Court (13 month contract), applicants must have a minimum of 2.1 degree in law, and by the 30th August 2018: have been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Law Society of Ireland (or eligible to be admitted on the next Roll of Solicitors), or hold (or expect to hold) a Barrister at Law degree from the Kings Inns.
