A Carlow-based security company has announced the addition of 85 new jobs over the next 12 months Netwatch is to recruit candidates for positions in software development, digital marketing, sales and engineering as part of a €20m investment. The recruitment drive will see the company’s workforce grow to 250 people.
David Walsh, CEO, Netwatch said of the announcement: “In the middle of the recession, we focused on research and development and expanding the business internationally. Both the employee expansion and funding announcement is validation of that decision and also lays the ground work for the next two years of growth and development. We see a lot of untapped potential in the US which we will now be able to fully take advantage of.”
Netwatch monitor in excess of 42,000 security cameras at both commercial and residential sites across the globe from its Communications Hub in Carlow. The company currently provides advanced video processing to more than 3,200 businesses across the globe in the retail, warehousing, logistics and multinational sectors.
The company was established in Carlow in 2003 and uses live audio warnings to ward off intruders. Netwatch now operates in four continents with clients across Europe, South Africa, the Middle East and the USA.
