Roadbridge Civil Engineering and Building Contractors has been awarded the first major contract on the €233m Center Parcs development in Longford.
It is expected that around 750 jobs will be created during the construction phase of the project.
The new holiday village development will comprise 500 lodges with access to more than 100 indoor and outdoor activities. Center Parcs expects to employ 1,000 people in permanent positions once development is completed.
"This represents another significant milestone for Center Parcs in Ireland and I am really excited about commencing the construction phase of our project," said Martin Dalby, ceo of Center Parcs.
