SuperValu has created 55 new jobs in Dundalk following a €7m investment.
The jobs have been created in the grocery retailer's new 17,600 sq foot SuperValu Fairways store, which is owned by local businessman Richard Tiernan. The development also includes a coffee shop, a pharmacy and residential units.
"We're delighted to be providing an economic boost to Louth, between the 55 people that are employed at the store and the local suppliers who will have their products on sale," Mr Tiernan said.
SuperValu currently employs 4,500 staff across Ireland and is one of the State's largest private sector employers.
